The Cottage Grove Planning Commission has three new appointments: outgoing city councilman Mike Fleck, who has served on the planning commission in the past; Matt Parsons (the current chair, was reappointed) and Savannah Crawford who is new to the planning commission.

Planning Commission has 3 Vacancies

The Cottage Grove Planning Commission will be seeking 3 new members this year. The terms of two members, Chairman Matt Parsons and Brad Cohen expire at the end of 2006. It is unknown whether or not they will re-apply. The third vacancy will be created by Tom Monroe's unopposed run for the city council.

At their Oct 23rd meeting, the city council appointed council woman Lynn Miller, councilman Mike Fleck and Mayor Gary Williams to the interview committee. Candidates must live within the city limits.

Serving on the planning commission is an excellent way to make sure citizens are involved in community planning. Please consider volunteering to fill one of these vacancies.
